Jacob Lack (b. 1999) was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He graduated from Kennesaw State University with a BA in Music Composition and a Joel A. Katz Music and Entertainment Business Certification.

Jacob grew up in the world of music since the 4th grade starting off as a trumpet player and then later learning piano. He was heavily involved in wind ensembles, jazz bands, youth orchestras, drum corps, and world percussion. He has been greatly inspired and influenced by Tchaikovsky, Bernstein, and Ravel throughout his works. Jacob would consider his style to be intimate, colorful, sublime, and walking the line between order and chaos. The goal is to achieve immersion into unique, intense, and ambitious worlds that mix the dream/fantasy worlds with the real/relatable worlds of everyday life.

While in college, Jacob had 5 world premiers of his works from solo to large ensemble to a repurposed game trailer. Along with compositional techniques and orchestration, he learned skills in music production (sound design and mixing) and video production (drone flying and editing).

“Performance taps into a deep spiritual creative power. It is conscious dream time and renewal shared by all”

- David Maslanka
