“Prophetic Worlds” describes a character, sounded out by the trumpet, evolving through different worlds and styles. This is achieved partly by different mute changes to give different timbres. These styles are based off of precedented material, hence, the word prophetic, meaning ideas and material that are played later in the music have already been foreshadowed.
